This variety of olive is specific from the area Roussillon. In Catalan language, it means ‘small apple’ and – as you can see on the photo – it is quite big: the size of a small plum. We don’t have enough experience of this variety to tell you more about its oil. We’ll tell you later. It seems that the Poumal can also be harvested to be eaten as it is. Depending on the maturity, its color can be green, red or black.
